I have a joe rocket super ego jacket it's black, red, and white stripe. Anyone with ideas where I could get some material to print out that details the reflective material for the jacket? (ie it's the white stripe..)

I work on base and an LEO has started giving me grief that I dont have reflective gear on.

the orange vest isnt that big a deal
except that it's only required if one was in BDUs or non-reflective detailed 'dress' leather jacket, etc. matter if fact if one only had the orange smock and STILL didnt have the reflective tape on it, it'd still wouldnt meet regs. LEO was just looking for the orange smock with reflective tape and not understanding that's only if you dont already have reflective material apparel. :(

Any idea where one could find a more detailed description that better indicates the reflective material on the jacket then the one line "reflective white stripe" sometimes mentione in some sales blurbs?

actually it's not the white stripe. the black pin line around the shoulders front to back, up and down the arms is the reflective material. it's flat black in light but reflective when in the dark.

is the pin line or piping enough relfective surface, for helmet reflectors most want large square reflectors rather than thin stripe or lines

unless youre referring to lines near 3/4 inch thick then disregard

there's no clear definition of "how much" reflective material there needs to be, only that there needs to be reflective material.

Per AFI 91-207 US Air Force Traffic Safety Program -
3.4.2.4. Personal Protection Equipment:
3.4.2.4.5. Garment and Motorcycle Visibility. Motorcycle riders will wear a brightly colored outer upper garment during the day and a reflective upper garment during the night. Outer upper garment shall be visible and not covered. Wearing a backpack is authorized if it has brightly colored/reflective properties.

I thought you just had to wear a reflective vest and or reflective armbands?

Depends on the dickwad at the gate.

I've got stopped because the tape on my BACK PACK wasn't thick enough. I've also go stopped in my track suit because I didn't have the vest on over the BRIGHT RED one piece. I've got stopped for not killing my headlights to.

I still say that if they miss the HEADLIGHT they aren't going to see the vest.

I'd get a cheap backpack and tape the shit out of it with reflective tape, shoulders straps and all.

For full effect, get this bad boy on your tail section. that'll show 'em.
