Just wondering if anyone had any exciting ride reports. Can deer dodging cop hiding.. wheelie giving fun?

I and my wife got to see Bambie (deer) on the side of the road split in half legs sticking straight in the air.. (rare here in chicago) but it was interesting

Lots of people not wearing gear.. shorts, tshirts, sandels.. you know the norm here in chicago on a 90+ degree day.

there was some nice thunderstorm warnings.. (Lame) never popped up untill late at night so hurring to get home was pointless also

thats about it.. anyone have anything they like to share?

Man, I wish we could have that temp here im AZ. I think we hit 116 or so this weekend. But it didnt effect my riding since I don't have a bike as of yet :sad

Got to ride a Honda NSR500V on the track :flipa

Nope, it's not mine, YES I wish it was. It is a coworker's, he raced amateur back in the states (I think WERA) and he dropped almost $40k on this bike, he's not gonna race it, he's a collector. He wanted to take it on the track once to see what it was like riding it, I convinced him to give me a shot on it. So I got on, and my first lap was about 6 seconds slower than I did on my RS250, just because I was so damn intimidated I was babying it the whole way. The power to weight ratio on this thing was amazing, once I got a little more comfortable, I normally hit about 125 on the main straight at Adria on my 250, I'm guestimating 170+ on this bike. It was the best feeling ever, better than losing my virginity, better than my first time riding a street bike, better than ANYTHING!

So yeah, I had a fun weekend experience :headbang

Lined up 4 wide and 2 rows deep at a traffic light about halfway through our Sunday ride....2 GSXR1000s, an 04 R1, and a modified RC51 in the front, my VTR1000, 2 CBR600s, and a 600RR in the second row. All of us decided to make sure are throttles were functioning properly for about 1000 feet....Mine seemed to work better than the 600RRs and one of the 600s, the other 600s worked about as well as mine and all the 1000s worked FAR better

I went to a biker block party we had a good time went on a poker run. Then went to a company picnic. When we got back i found out my best friend who i rode with earlier that day had went down that night. I got to the hospital to find him in critical conditon. This morrning he pased away.

i crashed on thurs night.. its really bumming me out even though i got everything fixed already.

i'm reconsidering the idea of purchasing a gixxer 1k.

Well this past Friday I was finally able to hook up with Yoshi (Chance) from the board and we had a nice long ride. Great guy. Two weeks ago I rode for the second time with JF954RR (Jason) from the board (not sure if he has reregistered yet) and he had some killer roads to go on. Touched my knee for the first time. I know I know..take it to the track...but it sure felt good.
At one point JF954RR was coming around this blind curve, not going very fast and I was like 50 ft back and all of a sudden a F'n car is half in our lane coming our way in the middle of the curve. My worst fear. But Jason expertly leaned out of the way and I had plenty of time to react. It's nice to watch and learn from other more experienced riders.


Thanks Fred for the site brotha!!! I have been meeting some cool riders and appreciate your efforts. I now HAVE to come here every day. One more addiction.
