I know people are probably sick of this discussion, but I have another question. I understand the general rule of thumb when it comes to octane grade. ie, use premium for engines with a higher compression ratio versus lower octane for lower compression ratios and a little of the reasoning behind it. But what I don't understand is that I have 2000 R6 which the manual says use 86 or higher but the 2004 manual says to use 91 or higher  . Both have a compression ratio of 12.4:1. Is it because of the Fuel Injection? Can somebody help me understand? RIght now my engine doesn't ping, so I use 89.

93 will be fine... I'm a cheapo so I use the cheaper stuff. If I have any problems with it I'll be sure to post about it!!
