Has anyone been following this as of late? Josh Hayes is kicking ass on that new R1!! I just finished up watching the 2nd Superbike race from VIR last night on the DVR, and WOW....what a weekend of racing. Was definitely exciting to watch.

Yeah, I just got done watchin the races on DVR as well and it was pretty good racin. Daytona Sportbike was even more fun to watch with some of them passes they were pullin off.

I was wondering if anyone was gonna mention that, there were a few races that they gave it to matt , but he is still the man

Mat is no doubt one of the greatest racers in the paddock....however, compare last years times to this years. The Suzuki's aren't going any faster.....but the Yamaha's are...especially the more R&D they get in. Josh is just riding the wheels off that new R1!

I was at VIR and the spec Dunlop's for this year suck but the riders can't say much since DMG has the reins so the overall lap times at all the tracks this year are about 2 seconds slower than last year. DMG is going to screw up AMA just like they have NASCAR. And if I am not mistaking, don't they now own Speed TV?

The 600, 1000, 1125 sportbike races were the most exciting both days. I do not intend on going to another AMA-DMG race anytime in the near future and I can't stand NASCAR. All it takes to shut down NASCAR is some rain. Why can the bikes race in the rain at the same speeds as NASCAR? I bet to even the complaining, DMG will start stopping the motorcycle races in the rain. Thank God for World Superbike and MotoGP!!!

I thought I would hate the Daytona series, spec tires, allowing 1125cc bikes to run with 600s, etc....But I was wrong. Right now I enjoy watching Daytona sportbike as much as WSB. Moto GP always has 1 or two riders check out, so it hasn't been all that great. Those Daytona Sportbike guys are rubbing elbows out there. When Mladin retires, it'll be anybody's race on any given day in the Superbike series. He is one of the greatest AMA racers ever, but it would have been good for him to step up to the varsity league like my man Spies!!!
