Hi Guys,

I am looking at a 2003 GSXR 750 for a track bike. The only bad thing I have ever heard or read about this bike is the "abrupt throttle response" issue that supposedly makes the bike a little tricky in the corners.

Is there anything to this? And also, do you guys think that this will be an acceptable first track bike? (I'm not a squid, I have been riding on the street for almost 21 years but am just now starting to do track days).

Thanks!

The thing that really helped my bike was having the tuner map it for track use. What he did was, at 0, 2, 5, and 10% throttle, added alot of fuel to the map. This really helpd smooth it out. Makes perfect sense. Richen it up at those throttle positions and the rest of the map is normal. A Powercommander or even the EMS system is very helpful.
