Yah= should've packed my barefoot shoes, but did not figuring I could run in socks on the treadmill. Ummmm no. Thankfully I did have my regular old track shoes- prefer running barefoot so those are just there for walking nowadays. Thankfully I brought them and did not have to walk around in my redwings.

I'm getting close to 180lbs (started at ~173), which is about halfway to my goal of 185. 4km warm-up run in under 20 minutes (including cooldown) is no real challenge now. On the other hand though, I need to get an ultrasound because it looks like I may have a blood clot on my left calf. Fucking. Eh.

Finally got my lazy ass back into the gym. It sucks! I lost so much muscle in the four months that I've been vegging out. I can't even look at the same weights I was throwing up easily four months ago! Well, back to it though!
go max go go go go!!!

we can compare notes next time we ride together LOL

yeah no treadmill running barefoot! I have done some crazy fun workouts barefoot in room/hotel or whatever- it gets old if you do a lot of jumping jacks or priosoner jacks because the carpet starts to wear on your foot pads- but otherwise no biggie- it's nice being able to bang a workout out w/ or w/o shoes LOL

August has been a wash for me, unless you count the two weeks of moving shit. Almost done with that, still have to move my 40 gal fish tank so that will be some more "weight" training. At the same time though, I've been eating like shit, and I haven't run or hiked in 3 weeks, so I really just need to get back on track and stick with it.

How did everything turn out with your MRI?

Did you do the small closed MRI or a open one? I just had one on Monday in a larger open one. Wow they are so nice.

I didn't fit into the smaller one too well hahaha.

After all the hurricane shit I never followed up with anything. But I am feeling significantly better for sure.

The one I did have was closed. It was weird. I just closed my eyes and pretended I was at a rave and was going to make out... Like that scene from Demolition Man where they are going to have 'sex' with those helmet things and no touching.

Don't ask... It just kept me from freaking out since my.whole body was there

Glad your feeling better.

Hahahah that's a good idea!

They put me in feet first on the one before this last one!!
And it was in a closed machine!

I felt like I was about to go into space!

I guess it was an MRI machine though because I never found the control panel.

Yea it's best to close your eyes. One time they played music for me. That helped.

Anyone gonna start a workout thread for December and the new year?

After over 20 years of weight lifting, I finally lost my size. I've quit lifting here and there and kept it (replaced with fat) but now I look ridiculous. I almost put a dime in my hand in the gym today to slap some stupid short skinny kid giving me some dumb looks.

I'm fine with that, I'm fine with the ridiculously light weights I'm lifting, and even the low energy level from keeping my intake about 1k calories...I'm back at it and my energy level is being more constant. That'll help me in the long run.

I'm not sure what my weight goal should be anymore. I was great at 178 (last time I lost 55 lbs) but now I'm not sure if I want 160 or 170, since I lost so much muscle. I'm 5' 8.5". My weight goal is flat and incline bench 135lb 10x10, dumbbell curling 25lbers 10x10 (clean-no jerking) and cable pull downs (tricep) about 80/90lb 10x10 clean. It's hard for me to say what my squat (rack, regular bar) goal is because I'm so ridiculously weak at it- I used to use the squat machine for too long and I'd rather look like a wimp doing proper squats than many plates with the shitty machine.

anyways, i upgraded my membership so i can go to this one really close to my house, its clean and has decent scenery, and no parking drama. I use myfitnesspal to track my calories and a bit of my workout. it's good to remind me to STOP BULLSHITTING AND MAKING EXCUSES, CHEATING and BEING A BITCH. it feels good to man up and keep the discipline. fuck, i LOVE food but i love how my body feels when i eat less even better. i always remember it but its only when i'm DOING it that I can keep it up. fuck cheating.

i think i need to give up alcohol too. i'm a lightweight but i lose my focus in many ways.

Yea I hear ya about the liking foot part. I'm the same way.

But I feel better when I eat cleaner.

But that doesn't mean you can't eat stuff like Jon e or twice a eek.

I like that my fitness pal, I have the app on my phone.
