Pocono, July 2. It was 2nd time on a 'Busa. Nice weather. No knee dragging.

It's interesting to compare my body position and lean angle at my 1st track day on a 'Busa, on May 9.

cool pics, your knee is very close

how do you like riding the busa on the track? does it ever feel too big? i have my first track day at the end of the month
I like her on the track, and she doesn't feel heavy at all. It's all misconception. I just love riding, and don't care about lap times.

If racing, that's another story.
duh had my head up my ass
Are you doing the main track at Pocono FUSA this season? Compared to the East course, it's 2.5 miles. I'm looking forward to it. 8/14

Maybe I'll get the Suzuki out on the track in Sept. I love the way it powers out of those corners and it handles remarkably well.
is this the day glen (the owner TPM) sprayed the oil on the track(plug come out?)

Don't they require safety wiring? That's the one thing I don't like about trackdays in Italy, they don't have many regulations as far as bike/rider prep goes. Although it's rare that anything actually happens anyways.

depends on what class and group you are rideing. since it was the owner of team promotion i would figure it was wired but I'm not sure of what happened or all the details.
im glad to hear your looking at the pics and comparing
Nice pics man, you must be built like a mofo ape to be able to horse that about the track man! Nice bike btw, I dig busa's. :headbang
96SNAKE, I am doing FUSA in August, but that's on the 13th. I love FUSA and always try not to miss it.

R6JUNKIE, I do not recall Glenn spraying the track that on July 2. We had only few getoffs, no chopper came, very little down time. I did 8 or 9 sessions - most I've done in one track day ever (it's my 3rd season). I am not even sure whether he was riding.

firefighter81, they do require safety wiring in more advanced group. I am in the middle group now, and I was asked (not mandatory) to safety wire my oil drain plug next time I do oil change.

Dennis, is that you? Yeah, pictures help a lot. Like last year, I saw a picture of me from behind - holy cow! my back was so crooked. In this last picture, I noticed my foot position is wrong - pointing outside instead of inside. Pictures like that are invaluable as there is no other way to know what you are doing wrong. Thanks a lot, buddy!

DazzaP, I am average built, and can tell you firsthand that all this talk about 'Busa's weight is overly exagerrated. Especially considering the fact that CG is very low. Unless you race where every bit of weight/handling counts, the 'Busa is just fine for all kinds of riding. Bottom line, it's weight is not a limiting factor. In all track days, and all upstate NY roads I ride, there is only one place (set of Esses) where it takes an effort to throw the bike first hard to the right, and immediately hard to the left. All other times, it's not a problem at all. I do workout however - to stay healthy, and because riding a bike is a physically demanding activity.

Thanks for nice comments to all you guys.

I'll be there with Reduc on the 15th. Hope we get great weather for both our days. :)
awesome pics man, cant wait till i can get out to the track
Great pics. Always cool to see someone tearing up the track on a Busa!!!
Thanks for all the nice words, guys. Next track day - August 13 - it's Formula USA course, which is pretty fast. Hope to get her to 170 - 180 on the long back straight. Will see how it goes. Easy does it.
