I looked at a 98 yzf 750 very clean with 16000 miles. I could pick it up for
about $1800 bucks. What do you think?
thanks

If its really in good shape, then for this time of year I'd say 1800 isn't bad. I would still try and bring him down.

I have been looking for a YZF1000r but seen this and kinda like
it. I'm 47 so i'm not in need of a late model super bike. I own
a fj1200 , vmax and 2 KTMs one a 2 smoke street legal dual
sport. But that 750 has a cool look.

Sounds like a good deal if it's clean. It's a rare bike and probably won't depreciate beyond that if you keep after it. I hate the tail fairing/taillight tho:

If it's in good shape, sounds like a good deal. They weren't cheap back in the 90's. I always liked those bikes, but be warned, I only know two people that ever owned one and both had issues. Both were 1994 models as well.

i'm going to guess engaging 2nd gear was one of them.

2nd gear issues. I have a billet basket for sale if you get it. The factory Yamaha baskets were cast aluminum which is NO NO in most hi-performance applications.

Other then that-great bike for the price.
