Hi,

Long story short, I'm attempting to check my plugs to see if that's why my bike won't turn over. I've got a service manual and have followed the instructions fine. I'm at a point where I'm supposed to remove the direct ignition coils from the plugs, but the space that I've got to get my hand in is so tight. Are they supposed to pull straight up, or should I work them from side to side in order to get them off? I certainly hope that I've got fouled plugs; $65 for 4 iridium plugs when they're not the problem sucks. =)

Thanks for your help

go from the top. that was the only way for me. raise the tank up enough to work, take off the air box.

I changed the plugs on my 929 before I sold it. I followed the service manual procedure, and it wasn't too bad. The coils pull straight up, but they can be tough. I had to use the tool bag spark plug wrench, as that was the ONLY thing that would get in there.
