Kevin & I had a great time yesterday at the annual 2-stroke ride, saw a lot of cool stuff, the usual barn-fresh rats (that run great!) and some insanely little modified machines from the local "Moped Army." Spoke with some of them who'd obtained awesome Expansion Chambers and hop-up kits, which changed the top speed on most of them from 35mph to near 60. We saw one on the side of the road, he'd broken a retaining spring off his header pipe, but luckily Kev had a spare and enough tools and we got him fixed right up. The weather was perfect, lots of cool, friendly people ranging in age from late teens to near 60, a good time was had by all. Prior to the start one guy came "sliding in" literally on a Supermoto'd old IT465, and promptly dumped it to the cheers and jeers of all. He was unhurt and had a big smile, took the ribbing in stride. Here's some pics:

A few more pics of the hotter 2 strokes in evidence:

These are the bikes we rode yesterday, but this pic was taken on a ride earlier this summer:

Four-strokes were tolerated and accepted, but not encouraged. However, I have to show you this one, because THIS is the bike Harley should have made:
