"More than 1.43 million people filed for unemployment benefits for the first time last week, according to weekly data released Thursday by the Department of Labor. It's the second-straight week that the number has risen, and the 19th week in a row that the U.S. has seen more than a million claims. For context, the prior peak was in 1982, when the weekly figure hit 695,000
.
The extent of the economic damage wrought by the coronavirus pandemic was further revealed on Thursday, with gross domestic product for the second quarter sinking by a record 32.9 percent annualized, according to data from the Bureau of Economic Analysis."

And, Moscow Mitch has been way too busy fucking up the courts to deal with economic issues. So, he's had no time to address the complete economic disaster that's happening on his watch. Nicely done, GOP. Fuck it all up and leave it for the Democrats to clean up. It's been a winner since 1929.

Another thing to think about - the COVID numbers are getting uglier and uglier. tinky-clink can offer violence again, but the fact remains that those places with the highest concentrations of wingnuts are now among the highest concentrations of COVID problems. The states with early outbreaks suffered from being pioneers without a guide in how to deal with it. There has been medical progress since, which means the death rates are not as bad. But, the death rates are there. Florida and Texas are blazing past other states in deaths per capita now. They have a bunch of dead people to go to catch New York, but they also have the benefit of a whole lot of time to have understood and dealt with the problem. New York didn't have that luxury. The deep south and Arizona are busy killing off their citizens. And, the ones who don't die, may have lingering problems. But, hey, it will go away by itself. Those who get sick and die or are otherwise harmed - not a problem. Just a reminder that the GOP doesn't care and would rather pack the courts.

Tennessee crossed over 100,000 cases. Ohio will be next, Alabama & South Carolina in a dead heat to follow.

I'm guessing his mom and dad were probably brother and sister. Of course to you that would make perfect sense.
