Unbelievable news! Especially considering the R1 has had an underseat exhaust since 2004. :cheerscrazymofo said:I was told that they finally put underseat exhaust on the 2006 R6, but don't know if it is true or not.
Well,I guess the pics of the new R1-LE answered that !coolatula said:Wonder if Yamaha has considered the "Bumble Bee" race colors as a limited edition?
Then when I get rich I could buy an R6,an R1 and a KR RZ350 in the same paint scheme and have a matched set.
I'm drooling over the R1-SP model.... but's its only available in Europe. :rolleyescoolatula said:Well,I guess the pics of the new R1-LE answered that !
Truely an awesome looking bike and I bet it runs even better than it looks.
Holy shit!!! I was expecting 13K or so, but 18K!!! That is nuts!Squid Killer said:The Limited R1 will be $18,000 for those interested.
The only thing I can say is that the added front and rear Ohlins and Marchesini rims alone costs about $5400. I know because I have both of these items on my '05 R1. So, add a slipper clutch as well to a bike that in non-LE form is already 11,299 and you have about $17,500. Pretty close to what the parts cost to add. I'm not defending Yamaha, but they certainly aren't trying to lose money on the LE.crazymofo said:Holy shit!!! I was expecting 13K or so, but 18K!!! That is nuts!
Then I guess 30k for a Ducati is absurd?? It's all relative to the buyer and their desire/financial status. For some, 18k is peanuts.okie said:18k for a R1 is ridiculous.
That wouldn't include me. I am a poor bastard!TheMidasTouch said:Then I guess 30k for a Ducati is absurd?? It's all relative to the buyer and their desire/financial status. For some, 18k is peanuts.
