Own a 2006 Gsxr 750 13k miles

When I first bought the bike the coolant reservoir was empty. I filled it and it’s holding fluid and fan kicks on at 220 every time.

if I just let it idle in the drive way it won’t go over 230 how ever when I get on it riding it staying pretty average 235 and now and then jumps to 244 but never over 250 when the warning light comes on.

I have engine ice in it and it’s currently like 70 degrees in Florida, any ideas ?

I see a lot of bikes run around 190-220 but it feels it’s running hot and I can’t figure it out.

Yup, that looks like a "not how it's supposed to be" thing.

You might also try giving the system a good flushing, and checking if the water pump is working At 100%.

But good job finding the thermostat.

Also, yes a tune can effect heating and is probably worth doing, for fuel and power reasons.
