Hey what's up fellow riders
i need help.I just passed my msf course & am now looking to purchase my first bike, with the way things are looking i don't have much to spend only like $1,000. I recnetly took a look at a 1990 honda vtr250 w/ 11.796 miles it starts and shifts through all gears but it does have a few problems. the front forks need replacing, turn signals broken, right upper fairing cracked, & bent footpeg. i made a offer of $700 he was asking 1,000. Is this bike worth it or should i keep looking, I know almost nothing about repairs to bikes.how much will it cost(ball park)to get the forks replaced & the others repairs, any info would help as i am new to riding & purchasing my first bike
thanks

I'd keep looking. You can do better for $1,000 but at least $2,000 would be ideal for shopping for a used bike. The vtr250, from what I've heard is a great little bike, but you need something that allows you to concentrate on riding and not fixing.
