1 piece vs 2 pieces ?

Hi,

I've found a nice deal for a 1 piece full leather suit. I mostly do agressive canyon carving, and maybe a track day per year.

I always prefered 2 piece suits because I could wear the jacket alone sometimes.

How's living on the street with a one piece ?

Thanks in advance.

i am not sure if you have a jacket as for now. i have a jacket and i am going to buy a 1pc suit i think it is better in the long run if you planing on doing more then track days.but as for 1pc on the street i am not sure, but i have seen 2-3 people in miami that wear a 1pc suit.

I wear a 1pc on the street. They aren't exactly the most convenient thing in the world, but then again I don't really do much riding other than twisties and track days. If you plan on doing alot of riding to local spots or anywhere that you will be stopping for a little while a 2pc is alot nicer. Also, if you do get the 1pc pick up either a Psycle Skinz undersuit or a Tai-Chi Inner Suit. You get just a little sweaty on your arms and legs and you will have a bitch of a time getting that suit off.

I always chuckle at the riders eating lunch with the top part of their 1 piece pulled off and "following them around". I got a 2 piece basically because that didn't look all that comfortable and I figured being able to take the jacket off would be better. I never wear the jacket without the pants, however. The skin on your legs is as valuable as anywhere else. Most track day organizers will let you ride with a 2 piece as long as it zips together fully.

I second firefighter's suggestion to get something with long sleeves and long legs to wear under your leathers. It makes getting them off so much easier at the end of the day.
