Recently I have had problems of gears catching when I come out of N to 2nd. Or N down to 1st. It catches and makes a nasty hit to the tranny. I tweaked the clutch adjuster a little but don't know whether or not I should just pull it tighter or take it to check clutch out. May make myself look stupid on here but it never hurts to ask. Also I was curious of what the reasonable price or labor/parts to get a fork seal replaced.

Thanks,

J.

How much free play do you have?
Are you comlpetely disengaging it?
How old is the oil and of what type?
Does it get better when hot than when cold?

Fork seals, both on the bike would likely be about $200 with parts, but it will vary by region and shop so it could possibly be $300 or it could be $150
You can cut labor costs in about half if you brought in just the forks off the bike.

Try changing your oil. Old oil can cause Honda trannys to shift hard. I allow about 1/8-1/4 inch play in my clutch cable.if its to tight your clutch will start slipping....
