In all fairness to the '04, the '03 dyno is from last year. So completely different days and weather. On that same day, the '03 might not have made but around 98-100 or so. You never know, because weather effects the dyno results BIG time.
Isn't there a lot less mass in the engine of the 2004? I would think that since the engine spools up faster that it would be faster but that might not show on a dyno. I have no idea though, just guessing.
Don't worry too much about dyno charts... unless you just want to drag, or brag.
The engine is pretty close to last year's but the chassis is mostly new and much different.
Plus, with that higher rev ceiling you can really wring it's scrawny little neck!
The 1000 was a jawdropping, show stopper when it came out, no one knew what to think. Now it is the norm. I want to see something unreal come out for the '05's. Top the ZX-10, go 195hp, the weight is fine where it is. Maybe go one step further, and include Yoshi exhausts as an option
