I'm having serious issues w/ going through clutch cables on this bike. I Just ordered a 3rd cable as last night my cable freyed (sp?) I'm pretty sure its routed correctly as per service manual, and my friend who is an mmi graduate adjusted it for me when I put the new cable on last time. This last cable has lasted maybe 1000 miles. I lubed the cable when I first got it. The clutch has an unusually hard pull (compared to my 041k) which I think is what is causing it to frey, I'm just not sure why. Any suggestions/comments would be appreciated

Well, there are three things that come to mind.

Too stiff of springs in the clutch

Improper routing

Something not right with the actuator.

It cant be anything else

Check them and service as needed.
