i use the bike for eveything, but mainly around town back and forth from work. i do like to hit the twistys as well. i don't want a tire that's just going to last 3000 miles and square off like my dunflops have. from what i have read the road attacks are a pretty good choice.

Part411.com is having a tire sale right now. Michelin PP's $99.00 for the front and $127.18 for the rear. That's a steal IMO. $25.00 tire shipping fee. Total $251.18

SouthWest Moto Total $253.90

Michelin PP's front $113.95
rear $139.95

Motorcycle SuperStore $10.00 tire shipping fee, free shipping for order over $75.00, Total $261.99

Michelin PP's front $109.00
rear $142.99

It's your money you might as well get the most for it. The three cost examples are for one Michelin PP 120/65R17 and one Michelin PP 180/55R17. Motorcycle Super Store is one of the most expensive places on the internet to purchase anything having to do with a motorcycle.

If I were in the market for a street tire, I'd look into the Pilot Road². See what ya can find on the net about prices.

Road Attacks are another good option from what I've heard about em. Give em a shot, I say.

Wish I could help ya out w/ online prices... been a while since I've bought tires online.

I didn't think they'd started to charge for shipping.

i didn't see any reviews where anyone got more that 3000 miles on the pp's
one guy said all he got was 1800 miles and it was trashed.

i ended up going with the conti. road attacks for $334 mounted at the dealer. i didn't realy have much of a choice in this area. i was going to grap a pair of the net, but no one would mount them being that i hadn't bought the tires from them. the local chopper place would, but they wanted 70 for the front and 50 for the rear. so the kawi dealer was the best place to go. they wanted $400 for the pp's which i'm glad i went with the road attacks cause i need a longer lasting tire that still grabs the road well.
