Joe Rocket vs. Alpinestars

these guys seem to be the 2 major players in the gear world when it comes to hardcore riders and pros so my question is which ones better? i have all rocket gear but just about ever knee dragger i see has Alpinestars gear and most of the AMA pros do to but some of them also have the Rocket.

I'd go w/ A*'s over JR. Especially their gloves.

I've got an A*'s 2 pc suit, SMX+ boots, GP Plus gloves & GP Pro gloves... nothing but good experiences w/ their products.

well speaking of which i need an opinion...i plan on riding my bike to school well into the winter pretty much as my daily driver...but i need a backpack that i can put both my books and my helmet in so i dont have to drag it around all day...i saw the joe rocket blaster back pack and it has a clamshell for helmet storage which looks ideal for what i need...anybody have this bag or know of any that have a helmet storage compartment?

honestly I would scrimp on the helmet carrying option for your back pack , I used to ride to school and I am have to tell with my books and binders and wreaked havoc on my back with the positioning on the bike. I spent a few bucks on a really nice Obus Forme back pack for comfort and support and just carried my helmet. My two cents anyway

No diss on Joe Rocket, they make some nice gear but you can't compare them to a company like Alpinestars. That is like comparing a Cadillac with a Buick, you can rationalize it but in the end everyone knows that one brand is simply better than the other.
