I really like it, ride it to work almost every day I can. Fun bike, and actually rides pretty comfortably. Thinking about putting the lower fairings on and a new pipe at some point. Ordering the sliders now.

Thanks for the link...will probably order from there. I've checked around, and they seem to be priced well too.

If your going to get the fairings on then your going to need different frame sliders unless your willing to cut for the sliders.

http://www.svrider.com should be able to help you out, just don't get the Suzuki sliders for fairings, they don't even do the job at all. Piece of crap.

The guys at the dealership told me that I need to get the Suzuki sliders due to the fact that they are the ONLY ones that fit through the lowers. They were selling for like $75. (I bought for $50). Is this horsesh!t? I will gladly return them as I have heard they tend to break rather than grind down.

Or looks like this guy did both suzuki and another set just to the rear of the fairing-mounted ones. Another idea I guess.

Yeah its horseshit, don't ever believe what a dealer tells you.. anything to sell something else. Their complete pieces of crap. I've been reading the sv forums for over a year now as I wanted one and still do. Check out http://www.svrider.com, do a search if you don't find anything ask. Also check out http://www.sv650.org but their mostly europeans but still good place to check out. Both forums are great. I would defiently return the suzuki frame sliders though, I've seen photos and read stories on the forums of people who had them and dumped it, their junk!
*EDIT* Hey JCP - http://www.sv1000.zyns.com/ for your 1000. Check out the 650 sites though also for info on the sliders, the 1000 forum is only a year old and possible you might not be able to dig up a post on what your looking for.

Yo unworthy.. When you start pushing it I wouldn't trust those stock Excedras, hard as rock, and never really warm up. . Check out http://www.ex500riders.com and look at some post in the rubber section. MotoRace word is golden as he is in the tire buisness and defiently knows what he is talking about. Nice bike though, mine is red and silver. I got some michelin pilot powers and let me tell you, I never knew what sticky felt like before these. I didn't realise it was always sliding around, I thought that feeling was normal as it was my first bike and first set of tires.

Thanks, I post over on ex500riders every now and then. I'll probably get my next set of tires from Motorace. I agree the stockers are shit.

^ Nice, I love the red ones. If I had one it'd be red on black frame.
