Food For Thought

Something I had to learn myself that I will pass on to everyone...

This is a public forum.

Police departments, Insurance companies, Your mom, Your Spouse, etc. can all view this forum at their own leisure.

Please take this into consideration when you post videos.

A couple of tips:

1.) I can find out alot of information about anyone by reading forums...keep this in mind.

2.) Cover your speedo or make sure its out of the picture...(most speedos are inaccurate anyway. )

3.) Dont post anything you dont want to be tied back to you

4.) Posting videos of you doing crazy things on your favorite back road can quickly draw attention to said backroad...which in turn draws the attention of LEO's. It's no fun swimming with sharks.

5.) SBN is a major sportbike site that will come up on the first page with Yahoo and Google.

Think before you post. I've never gotten in trouble for posting any of my videos, but it can happen so just think before you post something ridiculous or incriminating.

Ride safe and arrive alive folks!

Edit: No one from SBN has gotten in trouble for posting videos so far. I just wanted everyone to think a little before posting a link to their video.

Fortunately, local law enforcement is usually too lackadaisical to find any of this stuff, and you really have to muck up gran mal to attract their attention. The guys on CNN this morning who blocked a whole freeway for a marriage proposal could find some grief.

The FAA is quite motivated, on the other hand, and a number of pilots have found themselves in grief over youtube videos. There is one that has recently gone viral showing a biplane buzzing an individual that has attracted the FAA's ire. One guy lost his cert because he did a porn shoot in his helicopter. There was a teenager who posted some questionable flying videos on a chat board who wound up on the wrong side of an FAA enforcement action. That was amazing, since everyone told him what he'd done was illegal, and he wound up posting when the FAA came to call.

A young fellow in British Columbia lost his mom's bike and his license I do believe for posting his 299km/h run down the freeway on Youtube
