What To Take On a Day Trip???

So everyone.

What do you guys pack when you are going for a day trip or maybe a one night trip somewhere??

Right now I have a tire repair kit to put in the tank bag. I have a poncho that I keep in the tank bag. A tire pressure gauge.

What other stuff do you guys suggest I keep with me for touring??

Thanks!!!

Two sets of socks and underwear, a rubber jar opener for use as a sink stopper, and a couple packets of woolite so you can do laundry in the sink if needed.

If I'm just going out for the day then I don't really take much. My tire repair kit is always on my bike so I'm covered there. I might have a small tank bag in case I buy some water or snacks along the way. I'll throw in the rain gear only if the forcast calls for it. Other than that I just make sure my cell phone has a good charge on it.

For an overnight trip I'll pack pretty light. Just a change of clothes and a few personal items. Nothing real special. If it gets to be a few extra nights, then I start adding a few extra things I might need.

And yes, earplugs are a must even for a 10 minute ride down the highway.
