My tire pressure gauge was broke, and I wound up over-inflating them. ![]() They didn't even last a weekend because of it. So, I had no valuable experience with them. Actually, the only Bridgestones I've owned in the past eight or nine years besides the slicks were the tires that came stock on my 636. I wasn't particularly fond of them. But tires are like everything else, it's kind of whatever you feel comfortable with. |

That being said i found it way easier to get to the edge of the tire on both of the bridgestones then i do with the power ones. |

I was curious what you meant. Is it the size? Because I thought that the slick fit the narrow SV rim about as well as any other race tire I've used. That's kinda one of my complaints with the SV. The rear wheel is too narrow and it's harder on tires (for me) than it should be. |

RoadTrip | Same profile, tread pattern, carcass, etc. But, different rubber compound and only 3 zones (pro) instead of 5 zones (old 016). The new silica based compound is better in the rain and has a wider temperature range, where the old 016 had some fussiness in cold or wet, the 016 pro is more predictable across various conditions. Tread wear is supposedly longer; maybe, I couldn't really tell, pros wear pretty fast on the rear also, but front supposedly the much improved for life, that does seem to be true, looks like my front will last 4000-5000 miles.

Dave Moss prefers the R10 over the 003s. Says it has more of an aggressive profile. Bridgestone R10 DOT | Feel The Track As for the S20, they better be darn good, to outperform the Q2. |

usernamedoug | no idea but given that i'm pretty much certain theres a considerable price difference i'd just stay with the 2ct. I cant imagine needing more performance on the street then what those offer.

SlayingElliott | Hopefully the pures retain the relative longevity of the 2ct

On a race tire discussion the michelin rep told me last year the power one was going out of production and they had an even lighter tire to replace it with. I quite liked the one day i spent on the power ones, they let me get away with probably more then i deserve. I actually love the bridgestone tires too but the 250 slicks aren't exactly right for an SV, and in high speed knee down corners the 003RS didn't give me quite the confidence i was looking for. |

SlayingElliott | Hmmm, well im due for new tires this year so Ill have to give the power pures a try. Are they essentially the same tire?

dunlop used to have a lower level gpa a few years ago. I assumed they still did. looks like the only gpa now is full on race tire. dunlop and pirelli have some crazy ass ways they name/ categorize their tires. I always seen the Q2 was your average hypersport street tire that replaced the 208's. but every dunlop tire I've ever tried I hated. |

They put 003RS and Q2 in same group. Q2 in Street Willow best 003RS's lap time. Power Pure is a street tire and is marketed as Q2's direct competition. Personally, I don't see how Power Pure is at the level of GPA, because people race with GPA but never with Power Pure. Or do you mean Power One? |

I have done tons of research on tires, and this is why I have stayed with the bridgestone 'hypersport' line. Mostly well liked for street use with good stiffness, but not too stiff, good feedback, good grip, reasonable comfort, and now good wet traction with the silica compounds. The professional reviews call the 016 a 'predictable' tire, no suprises, and consistent behavior from new to bald, this has been my experience so I am not really motivated to change. I have read a couple of things about the Q2 and Pures that kept me from trying those. For intermediate pace street riding, I believe the Bridgestone hypersport tire line works very well. |

the q2 is just a normal hypersport street tire like a bt-016 from what I've been told. you're grouping it with basically hard race tires. the gpa from dunlop is more like the power pure. and the 003rs crosses into race use category. ![]() |
