Lowered GSX-R600

Does anyone have experience with a lowered GSX-R600? How does it ride on the road, and on the track once lowered? I need to lower it to get more than a toenail on the ground. Are there other ways to attack this issue? 5' 5", 29 inseam. Don't own one yet, but would like to.
