frame broken

Hi guys i have a question i have a 05 gsxr 1000 and my friend drop my bike and my frame is cracked.I know this is a bummer it was not his faught car pull out in front of him.He is ok and going to pay for the repairs to my bike.But my question is can i use a 03 or 04 frame so he wont be out of lot off money for the repairs.

No, you can't use and '03-'04 frame. Too bad, because those were the last of the hand-welded extruded bridge girder frames. The '05+ went to a new computer welding, which as everyone knows by now, didn't go so well.

Got comprehensive insurance where he could just pay your deductible?

Does he have insurance that would cover it?

That would be covered under collision insurance, and would likely raise his rates.
