Cool! Just curious, what source are you using for those specs? Looks Euro from the power ratings.
Those weights are extremely optimistic, even for dry. Right out of the Suzuki brochure...

the 02 1000 i'm picking up this weekend is 430 with a full tank of gas and made 160whp with a micron full serpent full system and a good dyno tune.

advr4 08-14-2004 10:01 PM

the power levels that he is quoting are at the engine, not at the wheels. he has them a little backwards though, as hp should go with torque and kw should go with nm, that way he appeals to both the queens measurement people as well as us metric folk.

I'll be updating the Spec sheet for the '05 very soon.

96SNAKE/03RR 06-22-2006 08:38 PM

I just bought an 05(pick it up on Sat) but the prev owner put an accel kit on it and I think it's a 520. Since I don't think this will be a good idea for my track bike, I want to either go back to the stock 530 or a 525. Can someone tell me what the stock link number is for the k5 chain and if 17/42 is the stock sprockets like previous yrs?

Thanks!

Thanks for that post! Saved me a lot of typing. :lol

96snake, the stock chain is a 530 and the gearing is (was) 17/42.

K7 is the best.

k610/k2zx12 01-31-2007 03:05 PM

it is nice, only seen pictures. compared to the 06, the front end looks a more flat, and it will be interesting to see what happens when you put a shorty type exhaust on. the 05-06 lower fairing hides the pipe....lastly, if there is map setting on the controls, will it work once a power commander is installed....anyone know??

Hi.
I'm new to this forum, so bare with me if Im doing any f-ups. I'm Danish but live in Thailand where I have a GSX1000R from 2002, and I have problems with the (cdi box or ecu) it's called different names. I has blown-up twice now, and one main problem here is that there really are no shops who can fix them, so I buy a new box and the same thing happen. Does any here had simular problems, or is there something serious wrong with mine. Thanks.
