model difference, gixxers

I am pretty new and couldn't help noticing the model differences between 600, 750, etc.

example, 2000 gixxer 750 has the triangular headlight style, but 2000 gixx 600 has the two circle style headlight.

Why is it that years are the same but the model is different?

Maybe because they are different models??? One is a GSXR600 and the other is a GSXR750, two different bikes.

Go soothingly on the greasy mud, for therein lies the skid demon.

Sometimes when Suzuki (or any other company) redesigns their bikes they will do only one model per year. For example, in 1996 they changed the 750 but didn't change the 600 until 1997. In 2000 they changed the 750 again but did not change the 600 until 2001.

Exactly. The 2000 750, has the same look as the 01-03 600's.
