New Scorpion Exhaust

Just installed the Exhaust and FAZR6 Eliminator Kit. "Thx FAZ"

To my surprise it was real easy to install and the sound is awsome .

Looks great.... Before I bought mine I knew the first mod would be to email FAZR6 and remove my fender, but I'm having a hard time rationalizing spending too much extra $$ and feel pretty spoiled getting the bike in the first place. (wife, 3 kids, mortgage, minivan, need I say more)

I notice you have a sticker on your swingarm, what is it? Do you have a closer pic?

It's the sticker that comes with the Exhaust that says "Scorpion"

Yes FAZR6 I'm taking baby steps with my first bike.

It's only two weeks old with only 100miles on it, the wife keeps saying why buy a bike just to-go to the store on.

Oh just paid the kid next door to clean the garage.

Pic of the lower cowl...not worth the $299 but it looks good.

Those Scorpions look sweet! I see you also didn't have enough room for the Scorpion sticker to go on the cans. I messed around with mine, but I thought they stuck out too far if I made enough room for the sticker.

Did anyone on the board put the sticker on the cans?

Also, something kind of interesting. The Scorpion warranty card says they are not covered if used for racing or off road, but then right on the back of the cans it says "For racing use only". What's up with that?

I just order the Carbon from http://www.imotorcyclestore.com/cgi-...geType_02ML_01 , I was temptted by the Ti one but opted for Carbon, figured it would run cooler. Cant wait to get it on, though it will be atleast a month before I can start riding again.

I've been reading alot of the exhaust threads, and there is a lot of scatterd info so I'll just ask the dumb question. So besides sounding better...how much does adding the slip-on really effect performance? How much better by adding a power comander?

thanks

Does your new exhaust have any negative effect on the stock FI system? My next mod will probably be the carbon version of the scorpions. 2 weeks and 100 miles???!! I have had mine 3 weeks and I got over 750mi so far. But then again, I have been riding instead of sleeping so that may be a good thing or a bad thing?

I think hes trying to ask you if the bike still runs good with the stock fuel injection(FI), without a powercommander.

I didn't put the stickers on my cans, because they would have run under the rubber mounting straps that wrap around the cans, and that would have looked stupid. Great idea, putting them on the swingarm.

I have noticed some loud burbling on throttle closure, almost like backfiring. And today, when I started the bike up in the 40 degree weather today, I noticed the exhaust was blowing out the left side way more than the right, as was mentioned b4 on the boards
