I would guess that will allow us to use inverted forks and radial calipers. So the real question is how much for the new triples?

ok, so theres been some healthy speculation, but i'll be honest, I wouldn't have painted the frame just to change the forks....

Maybe you are painting the frame since you had it all apart to put an R6 fuel injection system on it. ??

OK, I need some more hints.

Keeping the FZ6 handlebar, triple clamps, frame and putting a busa motor in?

The r6 fuel injection, with slides, would certainly help issues prevalent with the fz setup.

I would have barely even loosened the tank though, because there are some issues- the r6 fuel injection doesn't really fit well on the fz air box, and the r air box doesn't fit well because the battery rides up front in the fz with the coils! and the r6 tank doesn't fit on the fz frame anyway so rule that out. I still wouldn't have painted the frame on account of that.

but thats an awesome idea!

as for my speed, it is monumentally glacial. It'll be done this weekend, I have the cash hemorrhage on "regret" : ^ /

Actually, thats not true. The prototype, first rebuild is done this weekend. Skaggs worthy. Then, this winter, begins another agonizingly slow build.

since you have unleashed the BS meter, a hole...

It doesn't have a front fender yet, but it's home, and it's tuned on our DJ250i and it's for real- no BS.

enjoy. I can help anyone who wants this as well as manufacture the parts needed for a reasonable cost. The toughest part is, no joke, cutting your engine.

I did this work at Mammoth Motorsports, my roomates shop, in Rohnert Park, California. There is approximately 100 man hours in it, including paint and prep but not including shopping and part fiche phishing.

05 r6 swingarm, shock and linkage and rear brake
05 r6 inverted forks
05 r6 radial brakes
05 r6 radial master
03 r1 rear sets
05 r6 lower clamp, polished and heavily modified
05 r6 Vortex racing upper clamp
Stuntex 7/8 clamps
Renthal Streetfighter handlebar
Acerbis headlight and (soon) fender
Goodridge stainless braided lines
HID Headlamp
Clear Alternatives integrated taillight
Two Brothers racing titanium exhaust can
520 Renthal Gearing
520 DID ERV-3 chain
05 r6 Black Eggshell paint

ect.
