You can temporarily pinch the air supply hose for the AIS while on the dyno with a pair of hemostats. This is essential for getting an accurate AFR reading. All dyno operators should know this. The block-off plates will keep the AIS disabled permanently, which should reduce deceleration popping but does not change power/torque output.
