Otherwise screws can become loose. Compared To Compared to the HyperPro dampers and many others. These can handle the abuse many bikes receive in accidents. No bars to bend. Review Summary This was pretty easy to install. Besides taking off the steering nut. Make sure you use loctite through out the install or your screws will become loose. I have had a couple people tell me about the screws Becoming loose for not using enough loctite. I suggest a Steering Damper for any bike before any other modifications. Scotts is top notch in my book.
