Description: Akrapovic Bolt-On systems include only the muffler. Thus, only the stock muffler is replaced, while the header assembly from the stock exhaust system remains unchanged. It is intended for the rider who does not wish to make major mechanical alterations to the bike itself, but chiefly desires an improved aesthetic effect. In addition to a noticeable change in the exterior appearance of the bike, you get the characteristic lowered sound, lighter weight and improved power and torque curves in comparison to the restrictive stock muffler. Akrapovic produces Bolt-on systems for bikes whose stock exhaust is constructed so that the muffler can be replaced simply by undoing the bolts on the front rosette. The basically simple Bolt-On system makes use of this advantage; there is no need for special tools, you just attach it to the stock header assembly. There is also no need to modify any exterior parts. Each system is specially developed for each individual model of motorcycle, so the systems are not interchangeable. Also due to the construction of the stock exhausts, they are designed as equivalents to the Slip-on system.

Cons:

Does anyone have experience with Akrapovic slip-ons? I have an Aprilia SL1000R and am looking at this pipe and an Arrow. Any suggestions?

Pros: Better sound, small performance gain
Cons: Loud

Got a slipon for my Speed Four (it's for a ZX-6R but it will fit) and I liked it off the bat. Gives it a deeper and better sound. Might give me a slight bit of power, though it's not extreme. Only bad part is the noise level. It's quite a bit louder through the whole range. Not a good choice for somebody who wants to stay quiet and stealthy.

Pros: Excellent power throughout whole rev range, especially up top. Great looking, and fit was perfect, also great sound.
Cons: None, couldn't have made a better choice

I got the racing full system in carbon fiber. The bike came with a hotbodies, and opted to get a full ystem, cuz i wasn't really digging the Hotbodies. I Knew it was going to make more power but didin't think much more. Man was I wrong, this bike is strait nasty now, especially in the middle and top. I got a custom map for my power commander made by Fuel Moto, where I purchased the exhaust, along with BMC filter, TRE chip. They provide excellent service , and are specialist in power commander tuning. I will never buy from another retailer except them, when it come to exhaust and getting every bit of performance out of a bike. ALl in all great exhaust, no wonder they are pretty much the leaders in exhaust performance in the world. Peace
