I bought my tires on ebay from emotoguy.com. I had D220s on my aprilia SL mille Falco, and they had served me well. I wanted to put some full on sport tires, such as Metzler M1 Sportecs or Pirelli Diablos/Corsas, but I chose a compromise between tacky grip and a higher mileage tire.
The photos were taken when my tires were brand new. I want to put about a thousand miles on them before I report back on how they perform.

I just installed a set of these on my 2003 R-1 and have 450 miles on them so far. I am happy with they way the are working with the limited amount of miles. They seem to have more grip than a normal sport touring tire offers but only time will tell just how many miles they will last. I was looking for a tire that would give me a little more wear than a race compound tire will deliver and for the price it is worth the effort. I will post again after more miles

I am already on my 2nd rear tire , as the first 1 gave out with 6,800 miles on it...The tires work great on my vfr and handle very good..I rode the Dragon and never had a problem as i had no chicken strips left after the ride..
I just keep the air pressure in the tires within 2lbs of factory specs for a longer life...The front tire now has 7,900 miles on it and hardly shows any wear..
