Description: RO10 Diversion

Motorcycle News Product of the Year 2001.

Once more scorning the stereotypical helmet, Roof offers a completely original full-face helmet with exceptional protection and comfort qualities showing formidable efficiency on the road or track.

Never before has a new helmet received such high accolades for comfort, quietness and value. It was the first helmet to exceed the highest safety standards in the world.

The sleek aerodynamic form was achieved through extensive wind tunnel testing. Such features as recessed side pods and highly efficient vents combine to produce huge reductions in noise and turbulence, thus increasing comfort and reducing fatigue.

# Features: Outer shell construction is a unique blend of resins and fibreglass using a special tri-laminate process ensuring graded impact absorbtion.
# Aerospace quality bi-focal visor with permanent anti-mist.
# The wide chinbar specifically allows any impact to be spread over a greater area, combined with a unique compound developed exclusively by Roof designed to protect the face.
# Roof is the only manufacturer who has constructed an inner absorbing compound around the skull using a four piece structure to specific areas around the head form, which means optimum protection in the event of an impact.

Racing ahead

The Roof Diversion RO10 has had an immediate impact on the world of motorcycle competition. It has been acclaimed by riders for it’s comfort and stability and also the clarity of vision it provides.

Those riders unfortunate enough to have tested their Diversion to near destruction have been astonished by the helmets ability to withstand heavy impacts.

It far exceeds the stringent requirements of the FIM and ACU for competition use, which is fast making it the number one choice at all levels of racing.

Roof has provided a performance helmet for a performance world.

Pros: Distinctive styling; good ventilation; orange color
Cons: Plastic vent on top of helmet is brittle

This helemt is made in France and sold through designer helmets.com, a UK distributor. I bought mine a year ago when the British Pound to dollar rate was much more favorable. The current price is about $500.

I have been very happy with this helmet. It is comfortable, has pretty good ventilation, and gets lot\'s of compliments from fellow riders, due to it\'s fighter pilot-like design. The chin-strap is a \"click it\" type fastener, which some riders say is not as secure as D-rings. I have never experienced a failure of the rOOf system, and it is much more simple to snap the chin strap shut. If you want something different from most, I recommend you check out the rOOf Diversion.
