I LOVE this jacket! Just got it today and am very happy with it. The description doesn't mention anything about spine protection, but it is there. There is sturdy (removeable) armor on the spine, elbows, and shoulders. The zipoff sleeves are kinda pointless. They're pretty tight on my biceps since i work out, so keep that in mind when you think about sizing. It's a really good looking jacket and is very comfy. Icon even includes a little Saint Christopher medallion in the inner pocket. How thoughtful! Very cool jacket. I highly recommend it.

So here's your daily dose of irony: Four hours after I wrote the review above this for the Icon SuperDuty jacket, I was lying in a ditch. I had to bail on a low-side crash in a sharp corner. Fortunately, I was wearing this jacket and a solid helmet. I walked away from that fiasco with only a bruised rib cage. I owe this jacket (and Saint Chris) all my loyalty. I won't ride again without it.
