Pros: As advertised, \"Overkill\" protection. Tough looking gloves.
Cons: Price.

For about a year after Icon came out with these gloves, I was always interested. They looked awesome, but I couldn\'t justify spending that much on a pair of gloves.

Then by the time I had gone through 2 pairs of Joe Rocket cheapies, I gave in and bought a pair of the TiMax at a bike show. They retailed for $249.95 CDN but I got a deal at $200 CDN. Sweet.

First thing about the glove, they\'re TOUGH. Nice thick leather that feels very secure and makes you feel more secure. Titanium plated for extra protection and looks great too. Regardless of what anyone may say, the metal rivets on the palm WILL protect you significantly in the event of a spill.

They\'re warm in very cold riding weather, the Titanium plates work great at deflecting the wind from your fingers and in hot summer riding, I never a problem with them being too hot.

I love my TiMax religously and definitely recommend it.

The only downside, is that because the leather is thicker than most gloves on the market, there is more of a wear-in period. But after that, they fit like a - well, glove.

Pros: heavy quality protection, great looks
Cons: hands are cold in 40degree weather, tight fit around wrist

I purchased them used for $70. They will offer good abrasion resistance in a fall (Im betting my surgeon hands on it) not perfect in terms of comfort but they are the 1st full protection glove ive had overall worthwhile if you get a deal like i did
