Great protection for the money. I went with the GP pro version instead of the GP Tech because it had more protective parts on the fingers. I like how the 3rd and 4th fingers are bridged together to keep you\'re pinky from rolling. One thing that did surprise me, is the tips of the fingers are actually two pieces sown together, I thought it would be a rounded once piece. Either way I think it is well made and will last.
The palms are made of kangaroo skin which is stated to help protect from wear. The tops of the knuckle protectors have small vents for letting air in, along with perforated holes on the inside fingers.
I\'ve only had this glove for a week so I can\'t say how durrable it is out on the road since i don\'t have a bike yet. But I believe it is well made and should last a while. The size of these gloves normally run a size smaller so if you\'re had is a medium like mine, get a large. It fit well.

These are excellent gloves, but I think they are sized very small. I have medium AS SP-3 gloves that fit tightly and large AS SP-3 gloves that fit a little loosely. However, I could not get my hands inside of the Large GP Pro gloves. I had to use eXtra Large.

Agree w/ rb1 on the small sizing. My problem lies more in the protection of the palms. Granted I still have my finger prints, but I went down at the track last weekend and slid maybe 15ft off the track before hitting grass and wore straight though the palms. I was a bit disapointed for the price I paid. Only stating this fact because prior to these I had a pair that I slid MUCH farther in, was on rougher pavement and did not go all the way through. Had another pair on order but since paid the restocking fee. Good luck with yours.

Well, I crashed tested these gloves. TWICE!! Each time they protected my hands. One of the seams in the fingers came loose after a crash. Easy fix, I had a friend sew up the seam.
I agree with everyone else on the size. I wear a large, but it feels like a medium. The next pair I get I will get the extra large.
BTW, I could have easily sent the gloves back to Alpinestars for repair, but since it was so minor there was no need. I mentioned that because Alpinestars stands behind their products.

I've ridden w/ these gloves for about 25 hours and they are finally broken in. the sizing charts indicate I should wear an XL but I got a medium due to my short fingers. I could barely get my hands in them initally, and they caused numbness for the first 15 hours, but they will strech they are comfortable now, but still a pain in the ass to get my hands in them. The bridged pinky/ring finger is a pretty cool Idea, I broke my pinky from crashing in a motocross race this summer and I think this feature may have helped. The last section of my pinky was broken and sticking out 90 degrees from the rest of finger. It was a bit distracting to having them briged together when reaching for the brake lever, but I'm used to it now and isn't a problem.
