Pros: Subdued Looks, Comfortable (once Broken In).
Cons: Sole Longevity

This is the first and only pair of riding boots I have owned. I bought them hoping to add ankle protection while still feeling comfortable enogh with the looks that I can wear them to work.(Don\'t want my footwear to stick out) They fulfill this task quite well.

Initially I found them a bit stiff, but after I broke them in they became comfortable. The soles seam to have a good grip even when placed in the middle of the pile of oil dropped by cars at the front of an intersection.

On the negative side, the soles seem to be wearing a bit faster than my old Timberlands did. Also the included laces need to be retied occasionally as they become loose over time.

In summary, I would consider buying these again if I am ever again looking to fulfill the same criteria in the same price range.
