Description:
|
Exclusive ankle brace system constructed of thermoplastic resin that offers high resistance and protective qualites that ties into the rear vertebra panel and the boot lower in order to provide support against torsional twists without reducing the boot's flexibility or comfort
Patented adjustable calf system designed to accommodate calves of virtually any size
With a simple adjustment of the Tecno VR knob, the internal monofilament line will close and wrap the boot around the riders calf in micro adjustments for a perfect fit
The Vertigo Corsa boot extends the adjustable calf system by incorporating a buckle system over the bridge of the rider’s foot
This system also prevents the rider’s foot from sliding forward in a crash thus offering extra protection to the rider’s toes
Outer is fully constructed with Lorica, a composite micro fiber material that is stronger, softer, lighter and offers better moisture protection than natural leather skin
Lorica is highly resistant to abrasion but still breathes
Lorica doesn’t stain and can’t be scratched, and it delivers more flexibility and more feel than leather racing boots
Inside is lined throughout with lightweight perforated Teflon treated fabric in order to allow moisture to “breath” out to the Lorica outer and dry quickly with no long term mold build up
Snap-lock vent panel, located on the outside of the foot so riders can choose the maximum airflow setting
Riders can send air rushing inside the boot or close the vent to enjoy a sealed, airtight and watertight boot
Revolutionary three stage, shock absorbing heel cup is molded with three different densities of plastic
This system, another first in motorcycle boot technology, offers a built in shock absorbing range of three millimeters
The heel cups internal area is fully lined with impact resistant thousand-air cell memory foam for an extra level of comfort and protection
Shifter pad is molded of Dupont Techno-polymers, which ensure that the plastics qualities will not change in high or low temperatures
The same pad is used on the right boot, to assist riders who's riding style includes tucking their foot under the brake pedal
A new dual compound, non-slip sole was designed for the Vertigo boots that delivers maximum comfort and safety
Riders can change the various components to replace items that have worn or have been damaged in a crash
The Vertigo uses bolt on (no Velcro!) replaceable, adjustable and aerodynamic nylon/ceramic skid pads on the toe
The shin deflector plate is the only replaceable deflector plate available in racing today

Pros:
|
Adjustable out the Wazoo! Handy for someone with big calves
|
|
Cons:
|
Doesn\'t allow much motion in your foot. Transmits a lot of vibration

I am a lifelong Alpinestar wearer and decided to take a chance on the Sidis. They are adjustable in two places, in the calf and above the arch. The adjustments are done by attaching a plastic piece to a metal ring and turning a knob that tightens a piece of filament progressively. The Calf adjustments are done in the same way, but the filament is hidden in the side of the boot.
I took it to the track and they fit over my leathers easily. When hanging off the bike, the bracing around the ankle didn\'t allow me to turn my foot enought to not drag my toes when cornering. One time, hitting the ground so hard that it upset the suspension.
In other words, great safety, but a little too stiff for a comfy ride.
