Pros A less expensive boot that offers you some protection and that you can still wear around other places besides just on your bike. A well made boot that has handled everything I have put it through. Plus, stylish as well. Buckle keeps shoe strings from wraping around solid mounted bike parts.
Cons Not nearly as good protection as the more expensive and more race orientated boots.
Compared To I tried on a few other boots such as Sidi and a different Icon boot. All felt fairly comfortable while walking around the store for the short while that I had them on, but the Icon boots are the only ones that I have treid for an extended peroid of time.
Review Summary When I realized that I should really start wearing boots whenever I was going to ride my bike I started looking around for something that fit my needs. I wanted some decent protection, but didn't want to go with a full race boot. I looked around and found some options that could could pass for a casual boot if they had to. After looking long and hard at the Icon Super Duty boot's I decided to buy a pair.

The one thing that I can tell you about these boots is that they are pretty durable. I have had my pair for almost a year now. They have been through soaking rainstorms, muddy conditions, splattered with bugs, yet the still are in very good condition. I also don't just wear these only when I'm riding, so they do get plenty of everyday use out of them but haven't started to rip or tear anywhere. Plus, I can hardly see any wear on the bottom of the soles.

The fit of the size was real close compared to other shoes that I have tried on. I put them on at a local bike shop to find the correct fit, but ended up buying them off of Ebay to save a few bucks

As far as protection, the tops of the boots do come up high enough to cover my ankles, but there doesn't seem to be any extra padding in that spot like I might hope there would be. They would offer you ankle some road rash protection, but definately not near as much as a higher priced and race orientated boot. Ankle stability isn't going to be great either. The boot just isn't high enough to help prevent you from twisting you ankle in the event of a crash.

If you're looking for some protection, but still wanting to spend some time in your boots while your not on your bike, then these might just be what you are looking for. If you're doing track days, then you know these won't cut it for that.
