Pros The main benefit of the mask for me was just how thin the neoprene was. It wasn't bulky, and it protected my neck and face from the breeze under my helmet. The mask attaches with velcro strips in the back which hold together quite nicely. Breathing holes in the front are adequate as well.
Cons The only slight problem with the mask is that it wants to move a little when you put your helmet over you head, but I usually just take one finget and slide it up and under my helmet to readjust the mask exactly how I want it.
Compared To Before this, I have tried everything from a simple bandana, which didn't provide near enough coverage, to a balaclva that covered my entire head but was way too bulky.
Review Summary With the cold weather definately here, there will be a few die-hards braving the colder temps to get a little more riding in. I have tried a couple different items in a effort to find something that will keep my face warm under my helmet. By far, what has worked the best for me is is a neoprene, 1/2 face mask that is made by Gator and that I bought from Rangerjoe.com. The neoprene is light weight enough to wear under my helmet with out feeling too bulky, while at the same time being heavy enough to protect my face and neck from the breeze that finds it's way through the bottom of my helmet. The mask covers my nose, cheeks, ears, and neck quite well. With my face mask on and my leather jacket buttoned shut at the top, there is no exposed skin on my neck.
