Default rack in motion undertail

Just wondering what everyone thinks of this rack in motion undertail? I've never seen one on here just on the website gonna give my rear a trim this winter and trying to decide on which undertail I want. Rack in Motion*::*Undertail*::*Kawasaki*::*Undertail ZX-6R 98-02 / ZZR600 03-08

Rack in Motion use to be Mototeck, Rack in Motion took over Mototeck's inventory. I have had a Mototeck paint matched undertail on my 2006 ZZR since January of 2006.

It's pretty funny about how clueless they are and how they listed the product as far as what bike it will fit. I even called them years ago when they were still Mototeck and informed them that a 03-04 ZZR600 is a totally different bike from the 05-08 ZZR600. But what do you expect from French Canadians?

Here 's the one I have in Galaxy Silver.

I have seen some of the older undertails on here but I've never seen this specific one. I have seen pictures of your undertail on the forum though.

creative but way to much going on for me would look better as one solid rear brake light IMO

That's a bad ass tail, IMO. I have the other style Mototek tail...

...but I'd consider swapping out for that one. I like that it's different. The only thing is that I like my integrated tail.

Should just be basic if you already have all LED lights and a solid state flasher. You may need to put some resistors in line with the signals in the tail but thats about it. I think cuting up the stock undertail is more of a hasle than the wiring. I love that undertail that LA Kawi has! If I had the money I would have one!

Hook up the turn signals to the stock wires and splice into the constant power source of the tail light for the white LED license plate light on the Moteck undertail. Pretty simple. I used a load equalizer and replaced the stock flasher relay with a Tridon EL-12 electronic flasher relay to slow down the flash rate of the turn signals in the under tail and the Mototeck Flush-line front turn signals.

Cutting the plastic stock fender was a very easy. I used a cutting wheel on my drill. I have posted numerous pictures numerous times on how the stock fender assembly looks after cutting. I have the same Mototeck undertail that LA Kawi has in Galaxy Sliver on my 2006 ZZR. Your getting a deal from Rack In Motion. I paid $269.00 for mine when Mototeck was still around.

All these crazy undertails for our bikes but not one of them make a half way decent looking solo seat cowl. they have the little half cowls that cover the seat but it just doesnt look right to me.

This tail is nice though

Pyramid makes a really nice solo seat cowl for our bikes. I have one, it's paint matched to my 2006 ZZR.

I'm looking for a Targa to match my hugger, but I've been unable to locate one already painted, so I will likely need to get an unpainted one.
