Uhg, that sucks...

I know how ya feel. I broke my left wrist last year during the first race weekend of the year... talk about suck, it cost me an amateur championship

Get well soon & good luck healing up, but do NOT rush the healing process. I woulda had a shot at that Am championship had I came back one race weekend earlier but my personal health was not worth risking for a big wooden plaque so I took my time & didn't get back on a bike until my wrist was good & ready.

Which bone? I broke my scaphoid in half in a dirt bike wipe out a few years back. The doctor did a great job pulling it back together with a screw.

Me? Styloid process fracture on my Ulna & a few compression fractures in my Radius. Took 6 screws & a plate to put it back together.
Wasn't pretty but coulda been a lot worse.

Its called a boxer fracture. I fractured my 5th metacarple on my right hand. Of course I am right handed. Good way to learn the lesson to not let your temper get the best of you. I would love to have a good story and say I fought a bear or something but truth is I punched my solid oak coffee table, and it won!

Except it was a brick wall... and he punched it 8 times. He wasn't too terribly smart back then

Been there done that but mine was a brick wall and didn't realize it was broke for a few hours and noticed that the bone was all messed up on my hand. Did they put a pin in it to make it stright??

No pin as it seems to be a clean break on the xray's. I have an appointment with an orthopedic surgeon next week just in case though.

I did put knuckle dents in the table at least!

When I broke my wrist I told the people at the clinic that I did it in a fishing accident... they looked at me funny, laughed & said "Musta been a big fish!" I said "Yeah, I caught HIM" and pointed to my teammate who drove me to the clinic... He was the guy I got tangled up with coming out of a corner & was the reason I got pitched off the bike
