I have not found anything official, but on other msg boards they are talking about different bike organizations getting blocks of tickets that included 'VIP' parking and a parade lap. Jury is out as to when, but some said Monday. Seems silly because all the fans and ppl will be gone after Sunday.

They charged $75 for the parade lap at Laguna Seca's MotoGP race according to sources on the web.

Some said it was on Thursday, which does not make much sense either. If they are going to do it, it needs to be when the stands are full between qualifying laps or one of the minor races. That is how they did it at the AMA race at Barber.

I have read a couple of things about motorcycle parking. It says that limited parking will be available infield. Another thing I read said 'secure' parking. That implies it is closeby on the grounds or that it is somehow guarded. It also said on the card I got that there would be storage available for helmet and leathers. That will rock. I don't want to leave them with the bike or have to carry them.

Not an apples to apples comparison by any means, but the AMA double header at Road America in June was $25 and if I remember correctly was just prior to the Red Bull Rookies Cup race, which was then followed by the Saturday AMA superbike race. Anyway, to your point, the stands had a significant number of people in them when they did the parade.

Hats off to Indy for having that feature!

Of course I copied this from the other forum but this is what they have.

I have just been given some info on a discounted rate with some vip perks to indy here just a few:

VIP PARKING OF YOUR MOTORCYCLE
ADVERTISEMENT OF OUR GROUP (CORNERJUNKIES.COM)ON THE VIDEO BOARDS
SPECIAL GROUP SEATING
OUR OWN REPRESENTATIVE
10% OFF TO EACH OF US AT THE HALL OF FAME MUSEUM
AND GET THIS...........................

YOU GET TO RIDE A PARADE LAP ON YOUR PERSONAL MOTORCYCLE
AROUND THE GP COURSE

THE COST [s:3389fd66dd]150[/s:3389fd66dd] IT IS NOW $125 PLUS TRAVEL AND LODGING

Of course it doesn't mention when the parade lap will take place in the thread so I don't know what to say to that one. Either way, I'm sure Ray and Jay will have a rockin' time! Lucky Bastards!

Still don't know what day, but they are advertising a parade lap for 'clubs' We could get one together for SBN I suppose. Only need to buy a block of 20 tickets to qualify, although Jay and I have ours on order already.

Red Bull Indianapolis GP

Check under club benefits...

Nice. We need to try and meet up while we are there. Didn't you change the gauge backlighting on your bike? I'd like to check that out...

Don't forget when you get here, we do have speed limits still

naw... I didn't... I'll wait till I get back perminantly in March... the guages will take a bit more work to change the back light... considering all the bulbs are white... it means the tint is somes sort of film make'n it green...

oh and LED's are pretty directional light... so the lighting quality I think would suck.. :idk: maybe get some colored selophane (sp?) and just place over the bulbs... then remove what ever is making the light green...

I may just say fuck it and go with the reverse indiglo.

oh... and I'll be arriving the night of the 11th... and i'll be sitting in section B. along with about 15 of my boys and girls from Twfix.com

My truck has some film making the backlighting light green, so I swapped in blue bulbs and the result is a indiglo color. Might work on our bikes. Do you know what makes the LCD part light up amber? I'd like to go blue on all of mine. I have seen where people have done it on the new ZX6 and it is *nice*.

Jay (Rocket) and I will be roaming. We bought general admission tix, so we'll likely swap up where we sit.

Did you guys contact group sales to get your tickets? If so, do you have any details on the parade lap?

one of the guys is doing the parade lap thing... but I don't know anything about it.

I was hope'n to make it there on thursday to do the pit walk... but I can't... everyone I'm riding up with can only get friday off...

nope... I'm close minded... and even though our bikes are the same brand and may even be the same model... I hate all those that aren't ZZR600 riders...

by all means.. I'll be there.. with a bunch of riders from my other forum (see signature)

join up there if ya want... very chill folks... it's not bike specific... just a place to bs about riding in general
