Question Anybody running 20W50?

I know the manual says 10W40, but it also shows 20W50 for warm weather. Maybe I'm overthinking this, because I know the engine is liquid cooled, but what do you guys run in summer?

I use to run KawaChem 20W50. Switched to Mobil 1 Racing 4T 10W-40 A full Synthetic Oil.

I switched to the mobil 1 4t last change and i like ths stuff. Shifts better. If your worried about heating, then a coolant upgrade is what you need, not oil.

Argent I used 20w-50 from the first oil change in August last year until about early november, until it started getting colder out... ever since then I've used 10w40 and now I plan on going synthetic with Mobil1 10w40 like Rocket... nothing wrong with 20w50 for the warmer months, but it might be too "thick" for the colder ones

Thanks guys. I was planning on the switch to Mobil 1 Racing 4 T 10W40 also. I have been running Motul 15W50 since thats what the dealer recommended, but it's not a full synthetic. No, I don't have a heating issue, runs about 176* on hwy and on rare instances when i run it in the city, its never been over 209*. Maybe i'll get better mpg with the mobile 1 since its a lighter oil.

If it suggests 20w-50 in the manual you can't go wrong. As long as you use it in the hot months.
