check out the Better Business Bureau, see if either companies are on there and file a complaint.

They have to go through with your order, whether or not the company was sold.

But wait until the end of the month, to give adequit time before taking some sort of legal action.

I don't understand why they wouldn't have sent out an email explaining what is going on...

At least that way we would know if our order was coming and just to sit tight or if they are just going to cancel all orders.

yah, seems a bit strange to me too.

well, when and if (but im sure its more of a WHEN issue, than an IF) the new site comes online, call and call and call and email and email and email until you get an answer, or your money back, or both.

I called my credit card company to ask about being charged and having the company being sold. The funny thing is, they asked for the price on my invoice, and Mototeck actually charged me MORE than what I have on my invoice according to what the credit card company has on my statement from their company. Tell me that isn't f*cked up! Can they do that? Seems a little messed up that I can approve a price, have an invoice with the price, and then have them charge me MORE...

My credit card company is going to be in contact with them to figure out what the deal is. They actually already put a credit through for me on the purchase until they find out what's going on with the company and my order...

Was the charge significantly more? Possibly an exchange rate difference from when you ordered vs. when Mototeck invoiced? If I remember correctly, the prices were shown as US dollars on their web site, so the exchange rate theory doesn't hold up.

I'm crossing my fingers that everything works out with Rack in Motion as Mototeck has (or had) a good product. In addition to Crotch Rocket Enterprises having Mototeck, I found the flush line LED turn signals at 58cycle.com

Not a huge amount, but again, I would have expected an email stating there would be a price increase from my what's stated on my invoice. That's like me selling you new grips for $10 but then charging you $15 (after you already gave me your credit card number). It's the principle of it...

Here we are near the end of the second week of March and it's not looking good for Rack In Motion's web site to come online to take the place of Mototeck's. I'll be disputing the charge from Mototeck for the parts I ordered and look for another supplier.

This is unfortunate as I believe they made very nice product; I really like the undertail I purchased from them in late November.

Here are a couple of places that have or had Mototeck product: 58 Cycle and Crotch Rocket Enterprises.

Yea. I'm not too thrilled that they charged me and haven't sent anything nor have given me updates...

talk to your credit card company, see if you can have the charge put back...since by now, you may be able to argue that your money has been stolen.

I had a friend "loosely" translate the message at the phone number listed for Mototeck and he said it is a voice mail for someone by the name of "Eric ____" and gives instructions to enter 1 for voice mail or enter a number for a different extension. If you enter 1 to leave a voice mail it does not give you an opportunity to leave a voice mail and exits the system. Again, this is a loose translation.

I also looked up rackinmotion.com temporary front page on Whois.net (a place to find information about domains) and it has been purchased by Sitelutions Registrar.

Domain name: Rackinmotion.com

So what does this mean? Good question. I guess I wouldn't plan on seeing anything you ordered from Mototeck (or Rack in Motion if they purchased Mototeck) anytime soon. Just my two cents worth.

I'm salty about the whole thing... I really wanted the things that I ordered and it looks like we got scammed. I hope no one sent a check or you may have some issues on your hand. My credit card company already credited my card for the money and they have sent them a letter to see what the deal is. I have heard nothing else. I really wish I knew if my stuff was coming or not so I know if I need to buy stuff from another company...
