Default Oil Drain Threads BAD!!!!!

Well, I was doing my 3000 mile oil change today and I have run into a problem... I was removing the oil drain plug and I noticed a thread from the pan in the threads of the plug, I dident think much of it, I had purchased one of the magnetic drain plugs like ZZRrocket has, So I put that one in and it got snug but it dident tighten down all the way, it just wanted to keep turning, So I took that off and put the stock on back in and it still get snug but not tight, and it is leaking oil now... does anyone have a solution to this problem??? I really dont wanna buy a new pan, and dont have time to take it in and have it heli-coiled.. So I was thinking I could just put the next size bigger plug in there... Does anyone know what next bigger size plug is???? It seems the people at the auto parts store dont have a clue.. any assistance in this would be greatly appreciated!!!!!!

Thanks

Just re-thread it yourself with a slightly larger hole... I imagine a larger bolt wouldn't work either since the threads are messed up, not too large...
Whatever you do, stop tightening it too much later on

Though you probably got it in PM, a simple Tap and Die set is all you need. Though I'm not sure if you could find one around with that large of a tap.
