Warm up question...And speedo question
Wondering if you guys watch your temp gauge to warm up the beast? Or do you just give it a few minutes and go? I noticed there is no temp reading until the bike is at least 100 degrees. I've been waiting for about 120 or so before heading out. Anyone else?
Like all bikes it seems my zzr is off by about 3.5 to 4MPH per my Garmin. Is that the norm for the zzr's?

speedo seems to be off by somewhere around 5 to 6% (at least mine via GPS).
I usually wait till it hits about 130 before heading off.

idk about the speedo but depending on temp outside, I wait between 125-140... if it's warm, 125-30, kinda chilly 140ish

I find I don't need to let it warm up all that long, even in cooler weather. I fire it up as i'm putting on my jacket, gloves & helmet. By the time my gear is on it's usually good to go.
If the digital display happens to be on the temp gauge, it's usually just coming to life as I'm about ready to roll.

As long as your running 10-whatever or 15-whatever oil and the outside temp is over 60 I don't see much advantage of a very long warm up. Your just fouling your plugs.
I let it warm up as I pull my gloves on, then take off. I take it easy the first mile or two.
I gather the speedo is about 5-7% fast by checking mine against the radar speed signs.

I usually don't give it much time to warm up. I'll give it a few revs after a bit and if it sounds smooth I usually get on and go.

I wait till it shows a temp... Take it ez and you feel the bike "open up"
Too much idling for any engine is no bueno.
