I have yet to find any information stating as such. Pre-filling the filter will not make any noticeable difference in the performance of your engine. Such minute differences will only be apparent at the very end of an engine's life, long after its usefulness has expired.

Basically, do it if it helps you sleep at night. But as long as engines have been produced, if this had made a real difference, it would have been advised by the manufacturer. Neither the owner's manual, nor the shop manual make any mention of this.

i wasn't talking about instantaneous performance, i was talking about the overall performance of your bike as it ages...lack of oil, even for very small amounts of time will cause wear to the moving parts of your engine faster than if they are lubed (piston rings, etc)...just trying to help, and like stated earlier it does come down to personal preference...enjoy

i never own a bike long enough to worry about wear on the engine, after about 20,000 km, i would trade up for something else-and never have i[in30 years] ever had to do engine work...i change the oil on my machines 1/2 the factory km [i just wish everyone else does..]so dont hang on to your possessions for too long..trade up before you have to spend$$$
